Love & Light Festival Neelix, Perfect Stranger & Vaishiyas in South Africa

This may be a touch early, but this is honestly this is some of the most exciting news to reach us all week from Red Carpet Concepts. From Friday 01 April 2011 at 12pm South Africa will be treated to a collection of the best progressive trance/progressive psy (I dont like calling it psy because it really has nothing to do with hippies) on the entire planet. After much hoping and keeping our fingers crossed Mr Bloom and Mr Sprecher have combined forces to bring the likes of Neelix down- not content with making simple dreams come true they decided to add the likes of Vaishiyas and Perfect Stranger as well, just to make sure that no-one could dispute the sheer awesomeness of this event!

The Love and Light Festival is set to be South Africa’s first attempt at a top quality outdoor party with top International Progressive Trance DJs headlining the party (instead of the usual psychedelic trance that Kreg and a whole bunch of you love so dearly). Starting off on Friday 1 April at the Nekkies Camping Resort in Rawsonville, about an hour and 20 minutes outside of Cape Town this event will feature three of the world’s most renowned progressive trance DJ’s – Neelix, Perfect Stranger and Vaishiyas. Camp site gates will be open from Friday 1 April to everyone at lunchtime,  there will be fully licensed bars and DJ’s playing on Friday evening, while the main dance floors opening act is scheduled to get the party going at 10am on Saturday 2 April (I wonder who its going to be, eeeek).

Perfect Stranger

From the mid 90’s Yuli Fershtat has been committed to his love for Trance, which is as dance as music gets. But a generic label would not do justice to the depth of his heartfelt music, which transposes feelings from across the wide range of human emotions. In his creation, you’ll find tracks inspired by the bliss of sunbeams, by an ironic but yet candid take on the simple pleasures of life, or by the darker side of the self. His “new hybrid sound” incorporates Progressive Trance, embedded in dirty Techno-ish grooves and breakdowns.

Vaishiyas is regarded nowadays as a guarantor for intelligent and pushing Progressive Trance of simply highest quality. Festivals like Boom or Universo Paralello have been important milestones in Hannes Klitta’s musical career, where the euphoric reactions of the audience blessed him with his biggest compliments. In a technical respect it has been the progressive development of software synthesizers which left its mark on him, as well as the discovery of midi guitar pickups, Ableton Live and recently the controller APC40, which has been specially designed for this program. These technologies support him to achieve his standards of an intuitive and interactive live performance that is still inspired by bands like Dream Theater.
