Over the weekend the news that the Kings of Leon South African tour had been postponed started filtering through the online world.
Drummer Nathan Followill posted the following tweet on his verified account sparking widespread disappointment amongst Southern Hemisphere fans :
Sorry to all the fans in Australia and South Africa. My bum wing needs more time to heal but we’ll be back later this year. Sorry again.
Then, bassist Jared Followill posted the following:
Well, I now have March off. Any ideas for fun? I could always fly down to Australia and party anyway. I need some sun.
I think the bassist must have been drunk and meant to say that he should come hang out in SA- Australia… pffft.
Nathan the drummer is recovering from a shoulder injury that he sustained while on holiday late last year. The drummer tore his right labrum while trying to reel in a catamaran sail and kind of needs it to do a good job of drumming.
The South African tour has been postponed from March 2011 to November 2011 to allow Nathan Followill to recover from the surgery need to repair his shoulder.Big Concerts has not yet come up with the new itinerary but we’d advise you all to hold onto your tickets and wait for the official announcement from them this week- we’ll be sure to keep you all in the loop.
