All funds due to DJ Spoko are being channelled through this account, which his kids will have access to once of age. On 14 March 2018, DJ Spoko slipped from the grasp of the physical realm.

Ghostly from the outset, DJ Spoko’s evil and otherworldly rhythms changed the way the world moved. Creator of Bacardi House, the snare-heavy Latin-esque beats that became the anthem of the jol in Spoko’s home of Atteridgeville, out into Pretoria and spilt like white liquor further out into the global landscape with his iconic though uncredited contributions to one of the biggest tracks in memory, DJ Mujava’s Township Funk. His wicked touch was honed during a mentorship with high-speed Shangaan Electro icon Nozinja, and his beats are hailed as inspirational to the sound we know as Gqom. This all in addition to his own body of work, a catalogue barely comparable to any other sound, released both locally on his own Ghetto Boyz Entertainment and internationally on the likes of True Panther Sounds,Lit City Trax and Cómeme. Hailed as a visionary, loved as a god among men by the local scene he shaped and represented and by the international music community he inspired. There is no way to capture the contribution DJ Spoko’s rhythms have had and will continue to have on electronic and dance music culture, in their widest sense. A singular mind, a singular aesthetic. Rumoured to have the blue-prints for Krang's TechnoDrome, stolen straight from Dimension X, he’s the type of guy who exudes so much coolness that he adds whole countries on Facebook at one time instead of just people. Always up for a party and a Tequila shot or two this is the guy who we always call first, both before and after a night out…
