Jozi Nu World

July 2015 marks the incredible first edition of Jozi Nu World Festival, a one night musical journey, set in the heart of Jozi at Bassline, Newtown. Jozi Nu World Festival is a collaborative concept event which will offer music lovers a unique experience, aiming to inspire, unite and educate, by representing Africa and beyond in a journey of musical discovery.

The diverse and multi-talented musicians include: Mokoomba, a young Zimbabwean band with an awesome combination of traditional Tonga and pan African music cultures. Majozi – who’s new EP ‘Mountains’ is ranked No. 11 on the South African iTunes charts. Tcheka – who was born in a small Island in Cape Verde is well known for his unique style in music .


Joining Nu World from Germany, the Hamburg born musician, Dunkelbunt, has an amazing talent for mixing urban beats, grooving basslines, electronic and organic instrumentation and rhythms from the whole world. The line up will be concluded with more exciting acts who will be announced shortly, watch this space!
