In 2005 police began investigating Epstein after a parent reported that Epstein had sexually abused her 14-year-old daughter. He pleaded guilty and was convicted in 2008 of procuring an underage girl for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute. He was only convicted of only these two crimes as part of a plea deal but federal officials had in fact identified 36 girls, some as young as 14 years old, who were allegedly abused by Jeffrey Epstein. He served a mere 13 months in custody and got to enjoy extensive work release and freedoms.

Jeffrey Epstein later died in his jail cell on August 10, 2019. The medical examiner ruled the death a suicide, although Epstein’s lawyers have disputed the ruling.

While the documentary is based on Jeffrey Epstein, the trailer below guarantees we’ll get a closer look at Epstein’s longtime associate, former girlfriend and partner in crime, Ghislaine Maxwell, who not only knew of what Epstein was doing but even helped source young women for Esptein to abuse.
