When summer gets into the swing of things, you know it’s time for Season of Sauvignon held at Durbanville Hills Wines as part of the Durbanville Wine Valley’s annual event. On Saturday, 25 October, and Sunday, 26 October, you can celebrate this delicious grape variety, which excels under the unique terroir of the Durbanville area, by tasting all the wines produced in the valley.
These two days at Durbanville Hills offer some fun-filled activities for the kids and a variety of foods, wine tastings of Durbanville Hills’ recently released Sauvignon Blancs and those from other wineries in the Durbanville valley. There will also be scheduled tasting sessions on both days which include a sensory wine tasting consisting of an assortment of nibbles paired with a selection of Durbanville Hills’ wines to highlight the effect of certain taste on the wines.
The Durbanville Hills Restaurant will be open for breakfast and lunch and you can pre-book picnic baskets to enjoy whilst the live music keeps you company as you stretch out on the lawn in the shade of the olive grove. You don’t even need to rush home in a hurry as the Currie Cup final will be screened.
