Indoor Forest Party – Park Life

The “wild bunch” from Durban have put their minds and skills together to bring “the city of poison” an awesome weekly Friday night event starting tonight called ‘Park Life’. They’re basically filling the upstairs floor at Sasha with as many real plants as they can and using projectors to screen edited nature films on the DJ’s and on the wall’s surrounding them. The music will be very current Nu-Disco, Deep House & Slo-Mo (Nothing commercial or too hard/dark).

To add to the madness everyone will have the option to don fun animal masks putting them right at home against the cool backdrops as professional photographers snap pictures of the night.

DJ’s on the night are:
Dakin Auret
Green JNR
Kingpin
Greg Lynch
Brad Cuzen

Every week we also will be giving away 30 Park Life CD’s mixed by their main DJ for the night, starting with MCBN favourite, Dakin Auret.

Please give me a shout if need the photo’s to be higher res.

Main guest bio:

Dakin Auret is musically driven DJ/Producer with a versatile style and a flair for the underground. His career started in California where he was influenced by an array of musical styles from Deep House to Reggae to Classic HipHop. In 2007 he returned to his native town of Durban where he soon held residencies at two of the cities major mega clubs, ‘the Origin’ and ‘Sasha’.

In 2011 he teamed up with Durban’s stalwart DJ/Promoter Coco Loco to throw decent underground events with good names like Johnny D, Terry Francis, Emerson Todd and Carlos Mendoza to name a few.

The next step was to take all those influences of musical styles into the studio and begin production on his own blend of Deep House, NuDisco, Slo-Mo and Tech house.
