THE SPOKEN WORD

2016/2017 has given me the opportunity to meet so many people and get a taste of so much in various avenues, but none have stuck out like Glitch had at a very specific time of my journey. An all-around nice guy who has shown that a raw-craving for music can be an inspiration in any shape and form and can lead to some of the most beautiful outputs. The quality that comes from his production does not go unseen has he has found a sound which sings about his personality. Though it may be a much higher tempo sound it screams of Dash characteristically with a very analog and playful feel that can work at almost any time if need be. I plead that you give his work a listen and get to know what I mean when I say that passion does lead to amazing results if coupled with hard work. This is the primary reason behind these pieces… to show that dedication pays off in the end… Glitch is proof of that!

THE SCOOP

1) Describe Yourself In Three Words
Dash: Observant, Methodical and Creative

2) Dream Festival?
Dash: Ozora!

3) Your Fave Release Of All Time?
Dash: Astrix – He.art, absolutely changed the game for me, the album incorporates aspects of so many different sounds and sub-genres within Psy-trance.

4) Artist To Watch Out For?
Dash: This is such a tough question, even locally there are so many worthy contenders – so I’m going to stick with something relatively “under wraps” for the time being, but I’ve heard some samples, and all I can say is Nick Rushton has a killer new project coming up soon.

5) Advice For The Dreamers, Trendsetters & Up N’ Comers Out There?
Dash: You do you fam, don’t let others tell you how to express yourself. Don’t compare your worth as an artist with your peers, rather with how far you have come in your journey.
Dash: One of the most common question I get asked by people getting into production and DJing, is “How long will it take me to get there”. Being creative shouldn’t be about the final product, and I think a lot of dudes get so caught up in that, that they forget to just get lost in the moment, express what’s really going on inside their minds and most importantly have fun.
