The Spoken Word

Torrentially Blissful… And Oh-So-Perfectly Hitting That Sweet Spot. Richard aka Brontide is a producer in the works of developing the harder side of story-telling and is pushing out production content which sings from within him. A humble, hardworking and dedicated individual with a natural drive for life, he has built up his brand in 2018 to find himself in the most fruitful of circumstances…this all due to his hard work. His live set is taking shape piece by piece and so is the re-emergence of his Renegade evenings. We look forward to see what is to come.

The Scoop

1) Describe Yourself In Three Words

Richard: Humble, contrarian and diligent.

2) Your Fave Release Of All Time

Richard: To be honest there are many releases that have had a big Impact in my career, ranging from Dirty Motion to Rinkadink but the one that has stuck with me the most will have to be Bliss-Looney Bin.

Richard: It was at that era from 2009-2012 where artists were making music they love and not following the trend and sharing loads of energy to the dance floor.

3) Artist To Watch Out For?

Richard: There are many artists in South Africa that are breaking Boundaries and setting new standards, But the one that I think will be rising very soon is a good mate of mine Alex Hamilton (Alias Hamilton)

4) Advice For The Dreamers, Trendsetters & Up N’ Comers Out There?

Richard: It is very important to never give up. I strongly believe in that hitting rock bottom is where you really start improving because you then know that it can’t get any worse and will only start improving.

Richard: Reach out to as many artists or idols that you look up to, Learn from them and then use that Knowledge to build your name.

Richard: Remember: Haters gonna hate but don’t allow that to break you down use it as your drive to do even better.

5) What do you have going on currently? What can we look forward to?

Richard: I have been hard at work with my music and have a large variety of tracks that are waiting to be released. I am also in the process of a big label signing (TBC).

Richard: I am in the process of coming together with the Up and Comers of South Africa for a very big album release.

Richard: I will also be playing this Friday at Paradigm, Something wicked and a couple more next month
