10 APRIL 2014 – HOLIDAY MURRAY
There aren’t many bands that have a unique sound these days. Some try to imitate the greats and even more try to sound like what’s on the radio. Not this one. Breaking the mould is a somewhat contemporary folk rock group from Cape Town, HOLIDAY MURRAY. They return to Bohemia with a brand new EP to their name, Puffadder Sessions.
17 APRIL 2014 – THE PRETTY BLUE GUNS
THE PRETTY BLUE GUNS
need no introduction. Regulars on the Bohemia stage, The Pretty Blue Guns are four best friends who love making a noise. They have been playing shows all over South Africa for the past few years with some of the country’s top acts, ranging from small intimate theater shows to huge festivals.
24 APRIL 2014 – AL BAIRRE & THE DECEMBER STREETS
Since launching at the beginning of 2012 and taking to stages across South Africa, AL BAIRRE
, the Cape Town based five-piece classic indie pop band, who combine cello, violins, guitars, keyboard, ukelele and drums, has played numerous successful shows alongside great acts such as The Hives, Alt – J, Skunk Anansie, Boyz noise, Dear Reader, The Parlotones, John Wizards, Fokofpolisiekar, Matthew Mole and Desmond & the Tutus. THE DECEMBER STREETS
, with their eclectic rhythms, slick beats, reggae/ska trumpet, symphonic trio of guitars and voices to match are uniting genres and people alike. Their style ranges, but the catchy beat-lyric combos found in songs like ‘Fire through the Window’ and ‘Who Needs Shoes’ are signature.
