Hunger Society to Launch Their Capsule Range with a Multi-Creative Event Ft. BCUC and More.

“Born of the sea, inspired by the wild” Hunger Society is a niche brand with a keen focus on surf apparel and culture. Beyond the products they sell, Hunger Society is also an ethos and lifestyle ambassador for the wilderness and water nomad with an urban edge.

Next month, the homegrown brand from Cape Town will be launching and showcasing their 2018 Winter Capsule Collection at their very first event – The Island featuring BCUC, taking place at The Shred Indoor Skatepark. The range is inspired by the West Coast of South Africa and is suitably dubbed  ‘Fangs & Flora’.

The brand will also host a crowd controlled surf-styled skate contest on the day, in the Vans Shred Bowl where prizes such as apparel, bar tabs, free skate sessions and more will be awarded on the spot. Event attendees can expect an array of immersive art installations, a photography exhibition and even hand-poke tattoos done by the very talented Matt Elliot AKA MettieCloseout of Tomb Tattoo.

But that’s not all, guests can look forward to a lineup featuring some of the best live local entertainment such as Sowetan phenomenon BCUC and Cape Town’s desert rose, Bambeano.
