HELLO presents GIOM Live in Cape Town!

HELLO events aim to provide a platform to introduce new cutting edge artists, across a variety of musical genre’s, to SA.

We kick things off with International Deep House producer GIOM:

In a short space of time Giom has become one of the most highly sought
after producers, remixers and DJs in the deep house scene. His own brand of
quirky and eclectic house music is consistently found at the top of download
store sales charts and in DJ sets from the jet-setting elite to bedroom jocks in
every corner of the world.
Giom was born in Niort, France and now lives in London. Originally discovered
by the Chicago Jackin house scene, he started out by playing alongside
legends such as DJ Sneak and Mark Farina. He soon signed his first EP on DJ
Heather’s Blackcherry imprint and quickly went on to work with labels
including Large Music, King Street, Save Room Recordings and Defected
Records. He has also remixed artists including Hector Couto, Jay-J and
LawnChair Generals, and collaborated with Riva Starr, Fred Everything and
Nathan G.
In 2011 he released his first mix album Clips & Space for the acclaimed UK
label Lost My Dog. The album saw him highlighted by iDJ Magazine as a
“Rising Star” and headlining London’s Fabric for the launch party.
Fabric is a regular booking for Giom, and his energetic sets have led to a
hectic tour schedule which means most weekends he can be found headlining
in clubs from Australia to the United States and back around mainland
In 2012 Giom topped Traxsource’s top 100 chart for 6 consecutive weeks with
his remix of Hector Couto’s Let The Music Play, taking over the top spot from
his own Luv Lust EP with Fred Everything (Large Music).
Away from house music Giom’s talents as a professional drummer are also
highly sought after and have seen him tour and record for Alice Russell, The
Nextmen and Kasabian amongst others.

Rumoured to have the blue-prints for Krang's TechnoDrome, stolen straight from Dimension X, he’s the type of guy who exudes so much coolness that he adds whole countries on Facebook at one time instead of just people. Always up for a party and a Tequila shot or two this is the guy who we always call first, both before and after a night out…
