Guy invents Hot/Crazy Matrix for dating women

crazy hot scale

The guy in this video claims that he’s been able to put together a Hot/Crazy Matrix for dating women, but something tells me that all that Dana McLendon has managed to do is offend all women out there.

Dana McLendon has claimed that he’s interacted with women for several years and has over time come to learn that a woman’s attractiveness is directly correlated with her level of crazy. Let’s get one thing straight, this guy is no scientist but is quite a comedian based on his quote from the video below:

“Hot is measured from zero to 10, we’re all familiar with that. Crazy is measured from four to 10, because there’s no such thing as a woman who’s not, at least, a four crazy.”

To be fair, the concept isn’t exactly a new one with Barney Stinson’s “crazy-hot scale” from “How I Met Your Mother having done the rounds on the internet after it formed the core bit of content for one the episodes in the super successful sitcom.

As Barney explains a person is allowed to be crazy, as long as they are equally hot. Ideally, you want your date to be above the diagonal line, indicating that the people you date are hotter than they are crazy. The diagonal line is known as the Vicky Mendoza Diagonal by Barney, after a girl he dated who jumped back and forth across the line by shaving her head, then losing ten pounds, then stabbing Barney with a fork and finally getting a boob job.

The video has been going viral since it was released last week with over 1.5 million views and I’m sure has been doing Dana, an Alderman from Franklin in the US a World of good in terms of popularity (given the fact that he’s a proud, gun-toting American). His wife Amy McLendon, whom he’s been married to since 1992, is quick to point out where she stands on her husband’s chart.

“I’m a unicorn,”

-she said.
