Guy Breaks World Record For Free Solo Slacklining & Almost Dies Doing It

slacklining record

This is definitely not a record for the feint-hearted and after watching the guy in the video struggle through the process of breaking it, I don’t think I’m ever going near the edge of a cliff again. The crazy chap in question answers to the name of Spencer Seabrook and at the time of writing is the World Record holder for the longest and highest free solo slackline – beating the old record by 7 meters.

During the 64 meter course, 290 meters above British Columbia, Spencer almost dies, narrowly escaping a nasty fall to the ground far below, by just managing to grab hold of the rope while falling.
