After the fairly massive success of RETROFEST, acousticsNOW presents their next fusion of Art and Nature: GUITAR GIANTS. The event will feature original compositions from a collection of the finest guitar players in South Africa, including: Steve Newman, Tony Cox, Guy Buttery & Nibs van der Spuy, Greg Georgiades with Ashish Joshi, as well as two of the guitar world’s brightest young talents: Dave Baudains & Michael Plaxton-Harrison.
It really is an awesome way to enjoy a sunny June day in the Gauteng Winter as you take in the warm sounds of the artists while wandering through their grassy amphitheater. The festival will be held on Saturday 21 June amidst the Nirox Sculpture Fair with over 60 outdoor sculptures on display by local artists. There will be a fully stocked bar offering a delicious selection of drinks– including Glühwein – to refresh and hydrate as music lovers explore the landscape of Nature and Art.
Cuisine on offer will be courtesy of the Epicurean Emporium – a collective of quality food stalls from the high-end food & design markets – with emphasis on healthy, naturally-sourced options.
Gates open at 10am with music from 11am. There is ample secure parking inside the venue and concert goers are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the full day of music and tour the Sculpture Park.
CALEO Wealth Management is the anchor sponsor for the NIROX Foundation’s on-going concert program.
