I came across this interesting hack of the opening sequence of the Disney classic Lion King from Netherlands-based Studio Smack and Greenpeace. In essence the sequence was re-edited to remove all of the animals in order to show what things would be like if humans continue to destroy the World we live in without any thought of the other forms of life in it.

Greenpeace are trying to raise global awareness around hunting, habitat destruction and climate change, which affect animal populations around the world, including here in South Africa with our precious Rhino. If you’ve got a couple of minutes, watch the opening scene that has been hacked, it’s a real eye opener.

Im a guy with a very particular view of life... im not quite sure what that view is just yet, but when I find out I'll be sure to let you know...

  1. Very sad. I really hope that the human race wakes up and does something before it’s too late 🙁 🙁 🙁

  2. Look at all that nice, wide open space without those pesky animals. That is a big improvement indeed.
