It’s no secret that the navigation app Waze has always been superior to Google Maps even though it’s now owned by Google themselves.
But finally, Google is catching on and features previously offered by Waze are now being absorbed by Google Maps like the useful parking-spot finding feature and the newly added trap alerts.
South African motorists who use Google Maps can finally take advantage of a feature that Waze has always offered – warnings about speed traps. Google Maps’ new update will offer a similar feature which will send drivers notifications of approaching speed cameras and traps and will also display speed limits.
This new feature will be available to over 40 countries, including SA.
