I’m featuring this because I want all of you peeps who happen to have kids to go and take them to the SA Sweet and Snack Expo, load them up on sugar and then have to deal with them as they lose their minds. That should teach you to have those little terrors…
Expect everything indulgent and delicious under the Coca Cola Dome from the 11th to the 13th of April 2014 as the Expo caters for just about every sweet tooth out there. Expo-goers can browse the exhibitors’ stalls for a selection of chocolates, fudge, candy, ice-cream and much more, just in time for Easter. The chef’s inn and theatre are open to enjoy at no additional charge, and fascinating demonstrations will be held – a must for any aspiring cooks and bakers.
There will be plenty of competitions throughout the weekend, which will give aspiring edible artists the opportunity to showcase their ability to whip up magnificent masterpieces made out of sugar, chocolate, cakes and cupcakes. There will also be two world record attempts by Chef Nicolas D. van der Walt, the young pastry chef at the FBI Chef School and Patisserie Academy and patisseire extraordinaire. He has created the world’s largest edible painting, and will be replicating it as the world’s smallest edible painting – a tiny rice-grain sized artwork.
The SA Sweet and Snack Expo is the perfect combination of sweet and snack trends, local and international exhibitors of every flavour and plenty of fun and entertainment all under one roof. For more information or to purchase tickets go to http://www.
