At the end of the month (November 29th) between 12 noon and 4pm, Durbanites looking for more of a family vibe can be entertained by the soulful sax of International Saxophonist Andrew Young, who will do a one off performance at Wahooz on the uShaka Promenade in preparation for the upcoming festive season.
Young is well known in Durban from previously being a member of the KwaZulu Natal Philharmonic Orchestra and having performed all over the city, but has also gained the affectionate title of “Prince of the Saxophone”, worldwide. He has performed with popular artists such as Joseph Shabalala from Ladysmith Black Mambazo and James Galway, and has released nine albums to date.
So, if you’re a fan of jazz and soul, kick back and relax at Durban’s most laid back destination, Wahooz, sip a cocktail, look out over Durban’s sunny shores and embrace the talent of Young and his five piece band from KwaZulu-Natal, who are sure to blow up a storm with a unique mix of rock and pop including well-loved songs such as “Georgia”, “Baker Street”, “Still Got the Blues” and more.
