You definitely would have heard that the much hyped fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is actually going to be taking place in Las Vegas on August 26th of this year, much to the excitement of mixed martial arts and boxing fans from around the World. If you look at the facts, everything points towards a Mayweather victory, especially considering that McGregor has never even fought in a single professional boxing match.
Last week, some footage was leaked by McGregor’s former sparring partner, Chris van Heerden which shows that it’s highly unlikely that Conor is even going to be able to trouble Mayweather during the fight. Van Heerden is a former IBO and IBF welterweight champion that McGregor roped in to help him with his preparations after finding out that the fight could actually happen.
It really isn’t very flattering towards McGregor and shows that he’s got a long way to go before being ready to fight a boxing great like Mayweather. August is going to be a VERY interesting month for boxing history.
People telling me Mayweather will have his hands full trying to land on McGregor -STOP IT! I respect McGregor BUT i ain't Floyd and i landed pic.twitter.com/gd4dFi3XUU
