FIVE Reasons Not To Miss SpiltMilk 2019 This Weekend

This weekend, the countries premier techno festival, SpiltMilk returns for its fourth birthday celebration. This year, the festival will take place in the astronomic Techno Dome debuted last year at SpiltMilk 2018 and will be held at an impressive venue five minutes outside of Cape Town’s city centre.

SpiltMilk have once again carefully curated their line up with 2 international headlining acts in the form of young, up & coming Drumcode Prodigy, Layton Giordani who’s headlining the biggest festivals globally and working alongside the biggest names in the Techno world including Adam Beyer, Green Velvet, Bart Skills and many more. SpiltMilk have also booked the German-born Techno veteran Drumcomplex. With over 20 years of experience producing and DJing with releases on Carl Cox’s Intec, Off Recordings, Traum, Terminal M,  Bush and his own Complexed Records, expect a powerful set from this Heavyweight stalwart of the genre.

With venues becoming scarce in Cape Town’s mother city, the team at SpiltMilk have worked hard at finding a new venue that would become the new home of SpiltMilk 2019! Set amongst the industrial backdrop of Paarden Eiland, 5 mins from the City Centre, it is a never-before-used luscious oasis featuring unobstructed views of Table Mountain and the City. There is a MiCiti Bus route near the venue running throughout the day and we also urge everyone to make use of BOLT (Taxify) and Uber to get to and from the venue safely.

Please, do not drink and drive.

There will be not ONE but TWO SpiltMilk after parties in the heart of the Cape Town CBD at Modular and Reset respectively.

Modular will host Drumcomplex for a second set in the basement and he’ll have the support of local heroes, Audiojerk and Kyle Russouw. Expect to go into the early hours of Sunday morning

Reset will host 2 floors with the Techno Tunnel seeing a second show from Drumcode’s Layton Giordani who’ll be supported by up and coming artist Sonic Bloom and seasoned veteran behind the decks, Sam Philips. Expect a sonic assault as you’ve never heard before. The Groove Bar will be going strong for 6 hours with Dave Irish, Roulette and Bronson at the controls. Get ready for lift-off.

SpiltMilk without the dome just wouldn’t be SpiltMilk. This year the team have made some adjustments to the set up after last year’s feedback and will be accommodating another world-class production within the walls of the dome.

SpiltMilk’s curation of the local lineup is a perfect mixture of experienced Cape Town heroes, excellent producers and names that are breaking through the Techno scene with fierce and outstanding releases. The lineup times have been released, you can view them below

If you haven’t got your SpiltMilk 2019 tickets yet, there are only a handful left before it is SOLD OUT. Get your tickets here and make sure you’re attending the after-party events on Facebook: Modular & Reset.
