DSTV adds Comedy Central as a new channel

We were all rather sad when Animax was removed from the list of available channels on the DSTV bouquet… it meant no more ninja warrior and no more laughing at Asians. Thankfully DSTV have made up for this loss in enthralling entertainment with the announcement that Comedy Central would be available on the platform from early December 2011.

Launching on 6 December 2011, Comedy Central will be a 24-hour English language comedy channel reaching viewers in 47 territories in sub-Saharan Africa.  You can look forward to groundbreaking comedy from Comedy Central’s award-winning programming slate, including super funny stuff like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report and brand new episodes of South Park (woohoo!). Comedy Central will be available to DStv Premium subscribers on DStv channel 122 and will be in operation from 19:30 CAT on the 6th with a one-hour special from US stand-up comedian Jeff Dunham, followed by Comedy Central’s global hit The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen and two brand new episodes of South Park.
