The Dogecoin community has announced its plans to host a Doge-themed music festival, dubbed Dogepalooza, to celebrate the digital currency’s recent success.
According to the festival’s website, Dogepalooza is an authentic community-driven Dogecoin Festival that plans to give back to the community by supporting and donating to both local and national charities. “There will be live entertainment, drinks, food, Dogecoin merchandise and an all-around celebration of Doing Only Good Everyday (DOGE).”
The Dogecoin userbase is inviting crypto-friendly celebrities to participate in the festival, including Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, musician Grimes, rapper Snoop Dogg, and entrepreneur Mark Cuban. So far, only Elon Musk has responded to the idea. On June 1, he stated on Twitter that the idea sounds “kinda fun.”
Though a festival date has not been confirmed, Dogepalooza’s coordinators expect the event to take place this fall and it is seeking out vendors, volunteers, and sponsors.

Organisers say they plan to host Dogepalooza in multiple cities and countries in the future. “This will eventually be a worldwide event and we don’t want you to miss out! Dogecoin has the potential to be the future currency of Earth, Mars and more and we would love for you to be a part of this newly exploding community while giving back to the people and supporting worthwhile charities.”
This isn’t the first crypto-themed festival – Blockchain Fest 2021, set to take place in June, will also feature entertainment in addition to the event’s regular speakers while Crypto Fest 2021, scheduled for September, has plans for an afterparty.
In the past, producer 3LAU hosted Our Music Festival, a one-time event in collaboration with the University of California.
