Dan Patlansky: 20 Stones Album Launch at Lyric Theatre

If you’re a fan of the more eclectic sounds of blues then you’ll love what’s happening at the Lyric Theatre this Thursday. On 29 March, the legendary blues/rock guitarist Dan Patlansky will be launching his brand new album 20 STONES at a once off gig at the Lyric Theatre on Thursday 29th March.

This limited seating event will see Dan Patlansky perform tracks from his new album. Dan will also be joined on stage with some of SA’s biggest names in rock and blues including:

Prime Circle’s Ross Learmonth will join Patlansky on (vocals and guitar) for a selection of songs

Wonderboom’s Martin Rocka will join Patlansky on guitar (for a selection of songs)

And SAMA nominee, Josie Field will be the opening act.

Enter Dan Patlansky is a blues legend at the age of 30 (something you dont often find) and is an artist who shares the muse that touched Hendrix, Jimmy Page and Stevie Ray Vaughan. What Dan Patlansky can do with a six-string Fender Stratocaster, most critically acclaimed guitarists will never quite achieve in a lifetime. The time has now come for South African audiences to learn about the other side of Dan Patlansky – the man with the Fender is also the man with the voice.

20 Stones showcases Patlansky’s musical genius, one-of-a-kind voice and his chameleon-like ability to change the intonation and emotive quality of the music from track to track. Here’s your chance to catch tunes off of it performed live, with other lovers of blues.
