Daft Punk are launching their album in a tiny Australian town called Wee Waa?

If you’re a massive act like Daft Punk you’d probably have the launch for your much-anticipated album somewhere like New York or London right? Wrong. Quirky as ever, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo have opted for something a little bit different and are going to be launching their Random Access Memories album in a tiny Australian town called, Wee Waa.

Wee Waa is a small town in New South Wales with a population of less than 2,000 people. But wait… it gets weirder. The actual launch is going to happen as part of the world reknowned (not really) Wee Waa annual agricultural festival, The Annual Wee Waa Show. It’s a big show about farm and rural life with amazing event highlights like dog high jumps and mouse racing… and you thought South Africans were weird.

Everyone that is attending the Wee Waa show gets a ticket to the Daft Punk main event launch, which is crazy, because they probably haven’t even heard of the internet there yet, let alone daft punk. Lucky Australian outback shits…
