She recently invited us to attend her in-studio band practice. Watch this video to see how sound affects her life and let us know how sound influences you? Adelia started singing before she could walk. “It all began when I started to perform at school concerts and Church at the age of 7”, said Adelia, “and it did not take long before I discovered my love for Jazz, Classical and R&B music at the age of 11”. In 2008, she was introduced to The Delft Big Band – Official where she became the lead vocalist. Nothing brings her greater pleasure than getting up on stage and performing. She noted that the more she interacts with sound, the more her vocal skills improves and that brings her great joy.See Adelia perform live this month in Cape Town on 20th September at Kaleidoscope Café or check www.delftbigband.co.za for more info.
