Brunch brings people together – you never hear of anyone grabbing a quick bite for brunch on their own, it’s a social occasion, a time to get together and relax with loved ones and friends.
Internationally, brunch is almost a religion – in South Africa, while there are many breakfast options that could cross over into lunch or lunch options that could be considered breakfast, there are only a handful of local restaurants that are truly embracing the trend. One such restaurant is Tobago’s at Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront, who’ve brought back their “Breakers Brunch” summer series with a variety of delicious food and drinks to suit all tastes.
Taking place at Tobago’s Restaurant, Bar and Terrace, the Dubai-style “Breakers Brunch” sessions kicked off on 2 November and are held on Saturdays, from 13h00 – 16h00. The cost is R770 per person or R550 per person, depending on what you go for. The R770 option includes a selection of bottomless drinks, including cocktails, local beers and wines, tequila and prosecco, live music, all-you-can-eat starters, a platter choice for mains and all-you-can-eat dessert, while the R550 package is a non-alcoholic option where bottomless sodas/water are on offer.
There is so much to look forward to such as a selection of sushi and oysters, live music and the location next to the water’s edge that treats guests to incredible Atlantic Ocean views truly makes for an unforgettable brunching experience.
Guests who opt for the R770 brunch package can stand a chance to win a sunset trip to Chapman’s Peak for 2 or 4 people with the open-top beach buggy. The prize includes a picnic basket with bite-sized snacks, courtesy of Cachaca Da Thula. Booking for Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront’s Breakers Brunch is essential.
