The extraordinary CT winter has hit us with a bat and it’s going to be a good one.

What’s the wondrous thing about it? The restaurants go full throttle to get us out of our jim-jams at home and into their cozy doors.

Here are some luscious Cape Town restaurant winter specials from around the Peninsula to keep you flush and your belly warm.

La Mouette in Sea Point – 6 courses – R195
Roaring fires, plush décor, delicious food and good service. A top drawer winter special.

#DateNight at HQ in CBD – 3 courses- R200 per couple – Every Tues 6h30 – 11pm
R200 bucks for both people? Oh yea, PLUS an added mind blow of 2 glasses of red wine included. I suggest you book to avoid disappointment.

Café Caprice in Camps Bay – 2-4-1 burger special – Mon-Thurs 12pm – close
Oh my actual hat, the big 2-4-1 burger special is back. Buy 2 big boys and you get the cheaper one on the house. A cracker of a deal.

Bistro 1682 at Steenberg  in Tokai – Dinner and a movie – R190 pp – 1st and 3rd Weds each week
Date night dream deal. At Bistro Sixteen82’s upstairs dining area with a hearty winter meal prepared by Chef Brad Ball.
Classic cinema snacks served during the movies, including Chef Brad’s famous aromatic popcorn, home made wine gums and a selection of cheese and crackers. Steenberg wines at cellar door prices.

The Odyssey in CBD – 2 burgers, R100 – All day every Monday
The hip gastropub on trendy Bree Street welcomes you each Monday with this gargantuan deal. They’re thinking of everyone and doing a beef, chicken or veggie option – nice one.

Gourmet Boerie in Kloof Str – Soup of the day R12 for small, R17 for large
Keep those hands and bellies warm with a bowl of soup at the kiffest boerie shop in town. Great boerie and potjie specials running all the time so pop in anyway.

Brewers &Union in CBD – Bucket of Love – any 3 beers R110, Jug of love – 1.5 l for R110
Great spot for craft beer, wine, unpretentious chow and a good time.
Save R25 buckeroos on both deals and stay warm with some beer love.

Andiamo in Green Point (Cape Quarter) – Buffet breakfast – Sat & Sun – 9h00-11h30
Go big at Andiamo for a breakfast buffet on the weekend.

12 Apostles Hotel – Luxe dinner and a movie – R395 pp – Screenings at 17:30, 20:30 and 22:30 
This experience could pop tjerries I tell you. 3 course fine dining dinner in Azure restaurant. Chef Christo Pretorius’ food is fantastic and the whole movie thing is a cozy experience in a private 16 seater cinema with plush red velvet seats.
Take it to the next level and stay over with gourmet brekkie included for R1345 pppn.

The Lookout Deck in Hout Bay – 4 winter specials
Wed – 2 pizzas with 2 toppings R120, Thurs – 24 prawns R120, Fri – 1kg BBQ ribs R120, Sat – 24 piece amazing sushi platter R120
Ok so loads of specials here folks – take your pick and cozy up with a view.

Bistro 1800 Cape Royale in Green Point – Fri & Sat dinner – 1 table gets 100% off
The singing chef chooses 1 table each night and burns that bill to a crisp giving you and your entire table a meal on the house.

Peter’s House on Kloof Str – High tea for hooligans – R45 – Fri & Sat 4pm-7pm
Quirky café with affordable fare. Includes a rooibos cocktail or SAB beer along with nibbles for R45 buckeroos. A pretty fun afternoon with a couple of cold one’s.

Ricks Café Americain in Gardens – Tapas/mezze for 2 with 500ml wine – R140 – Everyday 3-7pm, Mon-Fri R55 lunch special
Casablanca- style spot that’s open late. Great savings on food and drinks this winter with roaring fires – go get ‘em kid.

Jackal and Hide on Kloof Street – R140 for any 2 mains – Wednesday all day
Choose any 2 main dishes at this popular spot with cool vibes each and every Wednesday until summer returns.

La Boheme in Sea Point – Set menus, R110 for 2 courses, R135 for 3 courses
Cosy bistro-style wine bar with sumptuous food serves up this cracking deal. 60 wines available by the glass.

The Foodbarn at Noordhoek Farm Village – Offers 2 specials
One my all time favourite places to eat. Franck Dangereux is a wonderful chef and aways has the most beautiful ingredients, colour, textures and flavours. AMAZING winter specials.
1. 50% off the al a carte menu for lunches Monday to Friday
2. Wine tasting menu: 3 course R205 and 4 course R225 available Monday – Saturday, lunch & dinner.

Harbour House – Offers 2 specials
2 gorgeous locations and 2 very good winter specials – go and get some seafood!
1.  Kalk Bay Harbour House – 2 courses cost R150, 3 courses cost R170.
2. V&A Harbour House: 2 courses cost R170, 3 courses cost R190

Hudson’s Burger Joint  – Happy 2 hours – 4:30pm – 6:30pm
American-style diner with great burgers. Half price appetizers, beers on tap, and cocktails.
Get your 2 hour happy hour on.

Beluga (CBD) and Sevuga (Waterfront) – Half price sushi – 12pm – 6:30pm/7pm
Oh my goodness, who doesn’t love these 2 sister restaurants?
Check this: Half price sushi, dim sum and cocktails (incl. weekends).
Pretty amazing!

Seelan’s Restaurant in the Waterfront – Seafood pizza and a glass of wine – R90
An elegantly cool restaurant on Quay 5 which also has a killer bouillabaisse. They will be running different specials all the time so pop in and check it out.

Meloncino in the Waterfront – 50% off pizza, pasta and cocktails -Mon– Sat 11am – 6pm
A slick restaurant upstairs with views looking over the harbour – quite the winter special, pretty unbelievable!

Cape to Cuba – 3 course R140 – Mon-Fri – June only
Cool vibes and fun this winter. Think oysters, calamari, steak, fish and churros.

Salushi (Claremont) – 2 Specials
Value Menu (sushi) 12h00-17h00 daily as well as Sunday, Monday
Tuesday evenings 2 course menu R90, 3 course menu R120 every evening 17h00 to close
