Michael Charlton is a Capetonian whose enthusiasm for the story of South Africa has gradually lured him away from his corporate career. Having qualified as a chartered accountant and spent time in a financial advisory role in the US, Michael returned to Cape Town in 2007 where, during a short career in advertising, has awoken to the art of storytelling.

Background to the Story “My Father`s Coat.”

Many of you would have heard Michael regaling his fascinating story of the 1937 Springboks on their legendary tour of New Zealand. Well, finally, he has completed his new story :My Father`s Coat” – a Project which has seen him realize a decade-long ambition to make the incredible story, that is South African history, more accessible to both South Africans and visitors alike. His idea was to condense the epic narrative of South Africa into a bite size story which is both compelling and accurate. A colossal challenge for Michael but one which has given rise to a very unique telling of our tale.

For almost a decade since their inception in 2006 ISO has been at the top of their game on the forefront of the SA Music Scene. They will be releasing their brand new album “Polydimension” this September.

ISO describes the inspiration for the new album as the goal to back to a more progressive sound, similar to their first album in 2009, and that is what also drove the songwriting and lyrical content of the album. With this in mind, they wanted to challenge themselves and write more technical songs which will take their fans on a journey throughout the album.

“Music is a language with many aspects to it and we love how each of us in the band are able to add our own elements to the music which forms this beautiful creation in the end. For us, this is the polydimensional aspect to the music we create – hence the album title ‘Polydimension’.” – Richard Brokensha.

They will be performing a special, intimate and unplugged show. Join ISO in the launch of their very much anticipated 6thalbum.

While keeping one foot firmly planted in the blues, Gerald has stepped outside musical boundaries. His first Afrikaans acoustic album, Sweepslag, was nominated as one of the best Afrikaans Alternative Music Album at the 2009 South African Music Awards. Clark’s latest album AfroBoer & the GoldenGoose is a raw,  blues-rock piece of honesty.
