A fairytale dream come to life has appeared on Booking.com – a quaint new cottage in France made entirely out of edible chocolate – that only costs roughly R800 a night to stay there.
The cottage was created in partnership with Booking.com and world-renowned chocolatier, Jean-Luc Decluzeau. The one bedroom, 18 square meter accommodation is a temporary installation and only a handful of guests who book in time will get to experience a stay there. The cottage, located in Sèvres, France is made entirely of quality chocolate and is actually nestled inside the large L’Orangerie Ephémère glass house in the gardens of the Cité de la Céramique in Sèvres, so it’s fully protected from the elements.
Almost everything is made up of the cocoa treat from the walls and roof to the fireplace, clock, dresser, and even chandelier. Beyond the cottage, the outside section features edible flowers and even a chocolate duck pond. And yes, guests may eat as much chocolate as they like.
