Cape Town’s East City is undergoing a large degree of transformation as it once again starts to become a musical and cultural hub. As part of this urban renewal, The Cape Town music scene will see an array of exciting artists on every last Friday of the month from the 29th of March 2013 at Boogie Boutique.
“Boogie Boutique” is a series of events taking place at the District 6 Museum, Homecoming Centre that feature the best in local talent who are plying their trade in the Mother City supported by an exciting line up of resident DJ’s including Ruthy Pearl, White Nite, Cudi and P_Kuttah.
Each event will stage a headline act and for the launch event the talented musician and songwriter Zaki Ibrahim will be setting the stage on fire with her energetic music and band. The acclaimed and established Zaki Ibrahim will be performing some of her newly recorded songs from her new album “Every Opposites” which was released on the 19 th of June last year.
For those that love art there is also an interactive exhibition put together by collaborating national and international artists. Each event will begin with a two-hour exhibition, which will feature both performance and visual art.
