Blade to join Marvel’s Avengers and should Deadpool take over Stan Lee’s cameos?

After teaming up with Doctor Strange’s Occult strike force and helping Spider-Man take on Morbius the Living Vampire, Blade will make his Avenger debut in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

When a massive war between humans and vampires break out, Black Panther suggests adding Blade to the team to prevent the chaos from spreading and costing many innocent lives. Captain Marvel, Thor and the rest of the Avengers recruit the half-human, half-vampire to the team’s mission to kill thousands of vampires.

The news comes along with Avengers #10, where readers were stunned to discover that at the end of the issue, founding Avenger, The Wasp infiltrates Dracula’s Castle and finds Blade, beaten and chained in the dungeons where she offers him enlistment into the Avengers.

Avengers: Endgame is set for release in April 2019. Watch the full trailer right here.

Also making news in the comic book community recently is the debate as to whether Deadpool should take over Stan Lee‘s cameos – a cherished and long-time tradition in Marvel adaptations. Although Stan Lee sadly passed away last year, the writer still has a few pre-recorded cameos left for future MCU instalments.

Once Lee makes his last onscreen appearance, some fans have suggested a new tradition should take its place with a large number of supporters suggesting Deadpool do the cameos. Others have rejected the idea of anyone taking Lee’s place, especially a character that he himself didn’t create.
