Bazique Festival is just around the corner and they’re setting up for their second annual 3-day outdoor adventure. Anyone who’s been to the first event will understand why we call it a 3-day adventure.
The second Bazique Festival is set to take place at the Grabouw Country Club on the 15th – 17th with multiple stages, exquisite glamping options and some of the finest music you’ll hear while they take us down the rabbit hole once again.
But enough about that, let’s talk about the first headline artist they’ve announced:
Manfredi Romano is a dj, producer, label owner, chef, restauranteur, vinyl collector and biker, but you can call him, Dj Tennis. The founder of Italian record label, Life and Death, grew up tour-managing punk bands and for all intents and purposes, rocking out.
His label curates soulful dance music with the post-rock aesthetic of his past. Establishing his own artistry as an electronic musician in 2010, Romano’s performances showcase his ability to create intimacy in the vastness of gatherings. His productions channels post-rock luminaries such as Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Tortoise and Fugazi, into intricately-synthesised electronic constellations – and we sure like the sound of that! Dj Tennis has curated a life of iconic imagining, and he will be serving you a dose of his sonic recipe at The Kraal presented by Bridges for Music at Bazique in March!
