as-TRON-omical

MyCityByNight got the luxury of viewing the new Tron Legacy 3D movie on Thursday at Cavendish.

Those of you that were old enought to remember the original that came out in 1982 (yes I remember it well), its was about a hacker/arcade owner Kevin Flynn who is digitally broken down into a data stream by a villainous software pirate known as the Master Control and reconstituted into the internal, 3-D graphical world of computers. It is there, in the ultimate blazingly colorful, geometrically intense landscapes of cyberspace, that Flynn joins forces with Tron to outmaneuver the Master Control program that holds them captive in the equivalent of a gigantic, infinitely challenging computer game.

The original was popular it had games made about it. Check this old school looking arcade game screenshots. I even had one and loved it! Hahaha!

Now as for Tron legacy, its about Sam Flynn, the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn, looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant, father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

So the 3D in this film, was like nothing I have seen before in 3D! ITS MIND BLOWINGLY BRILLIANT! Flawless pictures and the scenes and CGI are incredible! Disney, you are true imagineers and dream makers! Congrats! These screenshots do it no justice.

The story rocks too and it has that mooiness Olivia Wilde in it!

The movie comes out on the 31st December and I dont for one second expect you to go on new years eve, but make sure you go VERY soon after! Its the NUTS!

Hope you all enjoy it!

Bob finds stuff, reads stuff, laughs at stuff and then hopes you do the same. He is like a digital dog playing digital fetch for you, only better.
