We take a look at the work of South African artist, Sonny & his 'To The Bone' project raising awareness for endangered wildlife

JHB born street artist Sonny has taken his trade global with some of his incredible pieces of work can be found displayed in countries like Russia, Berlin, New York, Cape Town, Ireland and many more around the world.

If you’ve been following his work on Facebook or Instagram, you’d have seen his #ToTheBone project which he embarked on to raise awareness for endangered animals around the world.

To The Bone is an art initiative by the South African based artist, Sonny, which aims to raise funds and awareness for endangered wildlife before it’s too late.

Follow the project on Sonny’s website & Instagram.

All of the work on his site is for sale and 10% of each hand-finished artwork sale goes to International Fund for Animal Welfare – IFAW to support their wildlife conservation projects.

With a true passion for wildlife, Sonny believes that the wellbeing of animals is intricately tied to our own ability to thrive. That’s why he’s spent the past year creating a new body of artwork to highlight the extinction crisis we’re currently facing.

By embarking on a world art tour to exhibit his work and paint large-scale murals in as many locations as possible, Sonny aims to highlight this critical issue that has a profound impact on us all.

Rumoured to have the blue-prints for Krang's TechnoDrome, stolen straight from Dimension X, he’s the type of guy who exudes so much coolness that he adds whole countries on Facebook at one time instead of just people. Always up for a party and a Tequila shot or two this is the guy who we always call first, both before and after a night out…
