Love & Light returns on the 3rd on the March and this time they’re bringing three heavyweights with them in the form of the Iboga duo of Emok & Phaxe and Spintwist legend and an all-time Cape Town favourite, Morten Granau. We’re excited to be heading back to Nelson’s Wine Estate nestled away in the Paarl valley, the home away from home for Love & Light. What has peaked our interested quite a bit is the two new additions to the support line up, both making their Love & Light debuts. Sadhu Sensi and Yeti will be joining the Fogshow and Connecto as they welcome the Danish Invasion to Cape Town.

With DJ sets and Live performances in more than 20 countries every year, he is firmly putting a statement on his worldwide popularity.
Morten Granau cuts his teeth on Trance music. DJing and producing already at a barely legal age, the young man from Copenhagen is held to be one of the most up-and-coming talents in the progressive scene, a youthful and highly dynamic source of the progressive psychedelic trance movement.
Morten was instantly hooked on psytrance from the early of 15 years old and he started creating own tracks on his computer! Within months he was already setting fire on the dance floors at legendary local clubs of his hometown.
Morten Granau’s production style is varied and hard to pinpoint. There is a very deep and psychedelic touch with today’s classic Progressive Trance, but also a modern feeling of clubby funkiness. Together with his good friend Phaxe, he gains first attention with the track ‘The Grudge”, released under the duo’s project name High & Mighty. The title that marks a turning point in his solo career is ‘The Way Life Should Be” which still to this day gains great international recognition after being published in 2008.
The increasing popularity of Morten’s entertaining grooves makes him a welcome guest at parties and festivals around the world. Besides releasing high-quality Progressive Trance under his civic name and creating progressive and deep house tracks as High & Mighty, the young go-getter is also known as the One Man Orchestra which allows him to play and produce melodic Minimal Techno and Deephouse. Hopefully, Cape Town will get a taste of that in years to come… Only time will tell…
Kevin Josefsen has gone from a no-name to an international player of the Progressive Trance elite within no time. Dropping his artist name Phaxe in 2007 provokes few, if any, reactions. Only 4 years later he would become synonymous for premium progressive party music. Highly acclaimed live sets all around the world, applauded releases, and remixes for some of the scenes biggest names tell an impressing success story. A story that makes the man from Copenhagen repeatedly being described as a ìProgressive Prodigy.
Looking back, the evolution of Phaxe`s sound is the history of a perfect storm brewing. It starts with excessive party weekends in the late 90s, awakening his interest in electronic music production. First creative steps are taken in front of a Nintendo gaming console. Eventually this new passion leads to a professional audio engineer training in 2006. These 3 stages of Phaxeís career are still very noticeable today: His music is to-the-floor, playful, and high-quality in terms of sound.
This irresistible mixture is first to be heard in 2007 when a Phaxe track is released on IONO Music. One year later things take off: The title ìSwing Kingî gains euphoric feedback from both party freaks and DJs worldwide. Within no time Phaxe is producing together with artists like Audiomatic, Morten Granau, Vice, Zyce, Flegma and many others. Great compliments are given to him when the still young producer is asked to remix some of his early Progressive Trance idols like Haldolium, Atmos and Symphonix. His long awaited debut album is signed on the prestigious label Iboga.
In addition to his solo activities, Phaxe keeps up a creative dialogue with some other producers – resulting in a great variety of sound and styles. Together with Morten Granau, he is known as High & Mighty, delivering deep Progressive House. The name Sinister Silence stands for a mutual project with Dan Hessner and uplifting Progressive Trance. Last but not least there is O.T.B., a collaboration with Martin Daltoft aka Vice.
Despite his impressive success story Phaxe always keeps a humorous and friendly attitude which is very noticeable when seeing him on stage. In this very situation, his unbroken passion for Progressive Trance rubs off on the audience through vibrant sound waves.
