We love a good social media challenge here in South Africa and the latest one to be added to the list comes from the likes of SA’s biggest and baddest house music artists. Some of House Music’s top talent, namely Dj Tira, Donald, NaakMusiq, Mobi Dixon, and Prince Kaybee, have have teamed up together to bring you the #HouseMusicGymChallenge, which aims to get everyone doing their best to work out to their idols’ tunes.
The challenge is about inspiring people to enjoy a healthy lifestyle while living out your dreams. South Africa’s biggest House Dj’s and vocal beasts created an interactive way of combining their love for fitness and music into a five month challenge. During the course of the challenge they will be sharing some of their exercise tips they use whether at home or on the go that assist them in keeping healthy.
They are looking at encouraging everyone in South Africa to live an active lifestyle, whether through running or signing up to the gym. The House Music Gym Challenge culminates with a concert at Zone 6 after the challenge is completed. All five artists will be performing along with special guests.

He decided to unite his friends that happen to be artist and create something that can bring positivity and a healthy lifestyle to everyone it reaches. Towards the end of 2016, he finally recorded his long-awaited Red Mic Xperience at the Carnival City, and the DVD was released on February 14th, to critical acclaim. In May 2017, he released Africa’s first ever Visual Album Something More, containing 10 songs and 10 music videos. Some of the songs featured mega stars like Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, Saso of DreamTeam and newcomer Floda. Donald’s journey as a musician began in the North West when he joined the school choir, and sang whenever he had the opportunity. His latest track Landela (Remix) is a chart topper across the airwaves Donald has over 300 thousand followers across all social media platforms.
Hailing from East London, South Africa. Mobi Dixon has been producing music since he was 13 years old. After winning the DJU/AXE remix competition in 2008 he took his craft to the next level by collaborating with local and international artists. In 2016 he released his much anticipated Live The Music album which cemented him as a major player in the South African house music fraternity and a force to be reckoned with. The whole country is bumping to Mobi’s latest track Bhutiza, Mobi Dixon has an estimated 500 000 across social media followers across all platforms.
Kabelo Motsoma, also known as Prince Kaybee is one of South Africa’s premier house Dj’s His soulful sounds has continuously remained on South Africa’s charts making him a definitive force to be reckoned with.
