After three years of some of Cape Town’s best techno parties, SpiltMilk returns for its sixth installment, bringing with it the same innovative stage design we’ve come to know and love, as well as a few new tricks and a brand new location.
On September 1st, SpiltMilk is set to take place in Green Point, just minutes from the CBD, with a powerhouse lineup of local and international DJs. Bringing back the massive all-weather dome that has become iconic to the brand, the new location is set to be a hit with punters, bringing all the fun of an outdoor festival closer to home.
Headlining the first party for 2018 is one of Europe’s most promising new talents, Kevin De Vries. With releases on Suara, Drumcode, Fabric and most recently, Tale Of Us’ Afterlife imprint, De Vries has become hot property on the European circuit, having played twice at the world famous Watergate club in Berlin this year.
Second on the bill is one of SA’s best electronic acts, the crazy white boy himself, Ryan Murgatroyd. With over twenty years of experience, releasing tunes on labels like Get Physical, Defected and Armada since 2006, Ryan has become a staple in the country’s music scene and is a much celebrated addition to the SpiltMilk 2018 lineup.
SpiltMilk also announced its third act today: the dynamic duo of Siphe Tebeka and Audiojerk, better known as STAB Virus. The two young artists have made waves within the local music scene and abroad after the release of “The Unknown Song”, released on Coyu’s high-calibre Suara imprint, and have since graced DJ boxes at two of the world’s best festivals; ADE and Awakenings.
With more acts still to be announced, SpiltMilk continue to deliver their high standard of production, which will include Funktion Koncepts’ full Funktion-One rig and the trusty Howler system, as well as a few unique attractions on the night.
