A rescued squirrel’s release back into nature is abruptly short lived.

After rescuing and nursing a baby squirrel back to health, young Hoss of  Collierville, Tennessee was unfortunately not around to see his little buddy off when his loving parents decided it was time the little guy be set free again – in his absence they decided to record a clip of his release for Hoss, a heartwarming farewell. However, it appears Tom, the family cat has a hard time saying goodbye…

Apparently, Tom’s attack wasn’t lethal, “We had no idea our cat Tom was outside at the time of release. Once Tom got the squirrel he did immediately drop him at our door. Tom the cat did not kill the squirrel. He lived a few more days and then died from whatever he was sick from originally.” definitely not lethal alright…
