A Night with Black Coffee… celebrating 20 Years of Music Freedom
In a fitting tribute to Heritage month, on Friday 26th September 2014, independent record label, Soulistic Music will launch ‘A Night with Black Coffee’ the first ever live concert of its kind at Shine Studios in Braamfontein. The live showcasing is billed to be the opening event of ‘A Night with Black Coffee National Tour’. This is the first ever-official Black Coffee national tour that will feature a number of massive, star-studded concerts across the country.
This unique launch event will be televised on SABC1 for two hours from 10pm to 12pm and will also be streamed live globally via SkyroomLive making this a historical event in our heritage month of September as we celebrate 20 years of democracy.
A ‘Night with Black Coffee’ led by Dj Black Coffee, will be supported by some of the country’s most high-profile and critically acclaimed artists including the legendary Thandiswa Mazwai, Soulstar, Alexander James, Tumelo, Cara and Mondli
“It’s both exciting and humbling to be a part of such a historical celebration as we commemorate this significant milestone of 20 years as a country. Music played such a critical role in our transformation to democracy so to be hosting this ground-breaking concert in the heart of Johannesburg during heritage month is a befitting tribute which reflects how far we’ve come as a nation,” said Nkosinathi Maphumulo, known as Black Coffee, the founder of Soulistic Music.
Soulistic Music is proud to partner with, Red Bull Studios, Castle Lite Lime SABC1 and Skyroomlive to present the launch of the tour which takes place at Shine Studios.
In the coming months, the tour will be going to six major cities across the country and will see Black Coffee, one of the most influential musicians in Africa, showcasing all his musical works from the self titled debut album ‘Black Coffee’, the critically acclaimed ‘Home Brewed ‘to ‘Africa Rising‘ as well as an exclusive new single – ‘I will find you’ featuring Cara to be launch on 26 September 2014. ‘I will find you’ will only be available from the new local music portal gongbox.co.za
