On Friday, April 29th at 6.30pm, uShaka Marine World’s Cargo Hold on the Promenade introduces the first ever evening with Cruz Vodka. A popular tipple with sailors in the days of yore, vodka has come a long way since it tickled the fancy of the captain of the Phantom ship. Cruz offers a collection of premium, luxury vodkas that are more at home in a fine dining restaurant such as the Cargo Hold than in the ship’s galley!
With a perfect blend of luxury and sophistication, they are the perfect central ingredients for chic cocktails, Bloody Mary’s and more … Guests will enjoy three different cocktails during the evening that have been designed to complement the delicious menu – with a surprise twist, of course. Award winning Executive Chef Warren Frantz and his team have created a menu that not only compliments these, but also excites the palate.
So, join like minded folk for a welcome drink – an exciting new cocktail designed especially for the evening by the Cruz Vodka mixologist. The entrée – butter poached langoustine, salmon, lemon oil, spring onion chiffonade, mango cloud, pea puree – will be rounded off with a refreshing vodka and lemon sorbet.The main course is a Duo of Lamb – seared lamb rump, roasted loin cutlet, parsnip and vanilla puree, mint pesto, fresh herb crumb and lamb jus. As the Grande finale, dessert will be a coffee and chocolate soil, toffee almond crumb, caramel coconut mousse and espresso ice cream.
This evening with Cruz Vodka and Cargo Hold costs R295.00 per person (inclusive of a welcome cocktail and a three course menu).
