A List Of Exclusive Series Coming To Showmax This September.

September is the month of spring and Showmax has some fresh new content heading our way. As always the local streaming platform offers exclusive content that can’t be enjoyed anywhere else! Let’s take a look at what’s new on Showmax next month:

LA To Vegas  First on Showmax

“Jackpot Airlines is a budget carrier whose junket flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and back is filled with dreamers hoping to finally make that big score. Long-suffering flight attendant Ronnie holds things together in the cabin, managing the revolving door of bachelor parties and 21st birthdays, and developing a location-based relationship with Colin, an economics professor who is a frequent passenger on her flights. Theirs isn’t the only relationship fostered by proximity. Together, with the rest of the crew and regulars, they are part of an unconventional family from Friday to Sunday, whether they like it or not.”

The Magicians S3 First on Showmax

“Quentin Coldwater, a grad student at Brakebills College for Magical Pedagogy, has been fascinated by the magical fantasy world since he was young. But as he has gotten older, Quentin and his 20-something friends have discovered that the magical world they read about as children is not only real, but it poses dangers to humanity. While studying at the secret upstate New York school, the friends struggle to cope with the aftermath of a catastrophe that befalls the institution. The fantasy series is based on a series of novels by Lev Grossman.”

Impastor S1 – S2

“Buddy Dobbs is in a rut. The slacker has a gambling debt that he’s trying to escape, which leads him to a bridge that he is getting ready to jump off. Before he does, however, a reverend shows up and talks him down. Things take a turn after the reverend slips off the bridge and falls to his death, leaving Buddy the opportunity to steal the man’s identity. Buddy begins to settle into his new life as a pastor in a small, tight-knit town with the help of his preppy new assistant, Dora, alluring church treasurer Alexa and enthusiastic secretary Russell. He takes to the new gig quickly, because curing sex-crazed teenagers and stealing weed from young people are right up his alley. Despite Buddy’s quick assimilation into the role, church president Alden Schmidt senses something isn’t right. Back home, Buddy’s ex-girlfriend, Leanne, is forced to clean up the mess he left behind.”

Casual S3

“You can go home again — sort of. Bachelor Alex Cole finds himself living with his newly divorced sister in this Hulu original series. This time around, though, he and his sister are adults and they find themselves navigating the waters of the dating pool again — all the while trying to raise Valerie’s teenage daughter, who’s also dipping her toes into the dating pool. Each one seems to have only casual relationships (hence the show’s title): Valerie because she’s newly divorced and trying to have fun; Alex because he’s sort of a stereotypical bachelor who has yet to really grow up; and Laura, because she’s a teenager. But the new living arrangement turns out to be a learning experience for everyone, punctuated, of course, by typical show devices (blind dates, one-night stands, parental visits, etc.) that lead to moments of hilarity, in between which nuggets of truth can be found.”

Mosaic

“Exploring the psychological underpinnings of love and murder in a small town, the six-part series “Mosaic” — directed by Oscar and Emmy winner Steven Soderbergh — stars Sharon Stone as children’s book author and illustrator Olivia Lake. Because of her popularity in the small mountain resort town of Summit, Utah, she attracts the attention of aspiring graphic artist Joel Hurley, beginning a whodunit mystery that also involves financier Michael O’Connor and con man Eric Neill. When Olivia disappears on New Year’s Day, detective Nate Henry and Eric’s sister, Petra, must unravel the mystery.”

Playing House S2

“Childhood best friends Maggie Caruso and Emma Crawford have shared countless adventures raising Maggie’s daughter Charlotte together in their hometown of Pinebrook. The BFFs overcome unexpected hurdles since Emma’s move back home to help Maggie, including navigating colourful characters from their past and surviving countless dating misadventures. Now, the tables are turned when Maggie needs to come to Emma’s rescue as their friendship faces its biggest challenge yet. These women complement each other the way only best friends can, by facing the challenges of their past, present and future — together.”
