The coffee scene in South Africa is rapidly growing. With an abundance of existing local roasters, bean suppliers, signature stores and many more on the rise, the options are plentiful.

Big Seven Travel‘s latest ‘best of list’ reveals 25 of the top coffee shops in the country. The finalists were selected through votes cast in a poll of Big 7 readers, across their community of 1.5million community as well as by a panel of coffee experts.

Taking the number one spot is Vintage Coffee in Lynwood, Pretoria. With two signature locations, Vintage Coffee goes way beyond just coffee. The brand is affiliated with a host of community-based NGO’s and each month their profit is donated to one of three of their affiliates, chosen by the customers through voting with each purchase.

Vintage Pretoria also offers coffee training courses and a bunch of ways in which the public can personally get involved with their mission. And their coffee? Worldclass!
