The ever-thought-provoking 567 CapeTalk is taking a step back from massaging your mind to present Bandstand Boogaloo with the Jonny Cooper Orchestra. It’s going to be an evening of unbridled swinging (not I’m not talking about throwing your keys into a jar hoping to go home with someone else’s wife), that will recreate some of the sights and sounds that made the Swing music movement so popular in the 1940s.
The Jonny Cooper Orchestra is an Internationally acclaimed 19 piece big band that aims to recreate the Swing era of the 1940’s and consists of four trumpets, four trombones, five saxes and a rhythm section. Join them on the lawn of the Greenways Hotel in Bishopscourt on Saturday the 1st of February 2014.
Pack your picnic baskets and enjoy a trip down memory lane with South Africa’s ambassadors of swing and the 567 CapeTalk presenters. Celebrate the beauty of summer in the Mother City and 20 years of The Jonny Cooper Big Band.
Venue: Greenways Hotel – 1 Upper Torquay Avenue, Bishopscourt, Cape Town
Date: 1 February 2014
