If you’re anything like us, you would have grown up watching Ric Flair handing out a series of knife edge chops to his opponents and giving some of the madness interviews ever seen in the WWE. He was a pure nutter and unbelievably entertaining, especially when involved in the drawn out plot of a WWE promo (which more often than not just made The Nature Boy seem like he was on 3 bags of coke – see below).
Ric Flair has now received the recognition that so many of us knew he deserved all along and has been honoured with a hour and a half special as part of the ESPN 30 for 30 series, which unpacks important sporting figures and moments in sport through a series of interviews and clips. The episode will look at The Nature Boy’s in ring battles, personal life as well as interviews with many of his fellow WWE performers such as Triple H, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, The Four Horsemen and his daughter Charlotte.
