A massive mudslide -that was sparked by a storm that caused a riverbed to burst its banks- struck a Swiss village and caused massive damage to buildings and vehicles but thankfully no fatal injuries were reported.
The avalanche of rock and mud burst onto the streets of Chamoson in Valais on Tuesday causing an impressive spectacle of sludge splashes and explosions. Footage taken by a bystander showed debris shoot up from an overflowing river bed. Much like huge amounts of volcanic flow, the height at which the mud and debris erupt in the clip strengthens as the force and flow of the mudslide increases. It has been reported that the city has been experiencing extreme weather conditions, with this slide being one in a few recent disturbances.
