The Gorillaz hosted their own music festival this past weekend and released a nostalgic new track.

The Gorillaz have been getting up to some pretty interesting projects lately. With the long-awaited and teased release of new music followed by a multitude of media being released. The past few months have seen the brand expand to a mobile app and animated ‘books’, with even news of an upcoming TV show and possible clothing line.

The genius duo, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett’s took things one step further this past weekend when they hosted the first ever Demon Dayz music festival. It took place at the Vintage Dreamland amusement park in Margate, England and saw artists such as Danny Brown, Vince Staples, Little Simz, Kali Uchis, Kilo Kish and The Gorillaz, of course, take the stage while all performances were live-streamed across the globe on Red Bull TV.

A few days prior to the festival the group released another new yet nostalgic track called “Sleeping Powder” along with a rather trippy video. Check out Sleeping Powder below and catch up on the Demon Dayz  Red Bull TV stream right here.
