Somehow, it’s been 20 years since the original Duke Nukem 3D game was released and all of us running MS DOS booted it up and went on to slay a bunch of alien pig cops, while throwing a ton of money at really badly drawn strippers. It was a proper classic, with tons of love being given to the sarcastic anti-hero main character of the game by every single person that was actually old enough to play the game over two decades ago.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the game the peeps behind it have decided to release a special anniversary edition of the game on the new gaming platforms. The only thing is, they’ve decided that it didn’t need an update of graphics to go along with the release on the PS4 etc – have a look what I mean below:
Sure it’s probably going to be just as fun as the original games were, but surely they could have tweaked the graphics even just a little bit before releasing it, especially considering that it’s literally 20 years later (since the games first came out we’ve come up with social media and augmented reality). Oh well, guess we’ll just have to wait and see if it’s going to be anywhere near as popular with this generation of gamers as it was for us back then.
